This week, Eugene sits down with Miguel Gamino. Until recently,
Miguel served as the Chief Technology Officer of New York City.
Now, he is an Executive Vice President and Head of Global Cities,
Enterprise Partnerships at MasterCard.
The conversation begins with a deep-dive into Miguel’s background in technology from both the private and public sides and how he first got involved in El Paso, Texas before moving onto San Francisco and eventually New York City. The focus then shifts to the importance of having technology represented in government given the times that we live in, and the type of background you need to get into working on the exciting side of government technology. Miguel and Eugene also talk about Smart Cities, the role of mobility and Autonomous Vehicles, public private partnerships, and the role of technology in society as a whole.
